Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day – August 2010

After sending my daughter out to the garden, I’ve decide she’ll be my official Frugal Garden photographer. She has a great eye. I hope you enjoy a few of the things blooming in my garden now.

Your daughter does have a great eye! Nice pics! Especially love that portulaca. And I’ll have to give the Chinese forget-me-nots a try next year – are they first year bloomers?

Oops! Just read your “Fairie Garden” post, and see that Chinese forget-me-nots are a re-seeding annual, so they would be a first year bloomer – LOL! Definitely trying them next year …

They’re such a happy little plant. I like to wintersow about half, and then direct sow the other half once I’ve planted out my ws ones. The wintersown ones come into bloom just about when true forget-me-nots are finished, the direct sown ones come into bloom about the time that the wintersown ones are finishing up. I love the blue.
